PROBLEM:  Student or teacher experiences what appears to be a loss of Internet.  Bars are present on wifi, but user cannot go to any website.  A message on chrome may appear saying "not connected to Internet."

SOLUTION: If all wifi bars are present, this is not an Internet issue, but a device issue. This issue has to do with roaming on Apple devices. Network changes have been made to resolve many of these issues; however, there are a couple things that could still continue to cause the issue.

1. Securly - if a student or teacher is not logged into Google, this can cause issues with going to website.  If a teacher or student is logged into a personal email account on google, this can also cause issues.

2. MacBook System Preferences - If "wake for network access" is disabled, every time the laptop goes to sleep you will disconnect. Then when you reconnect you may roam away from your access point.

Go to System Preferences and click on battery.

Click on options at the bottom right and then make sure "Wake for Network Access" is set to always.

You can also go to System Preferences and Lock Screen.  There you can make sure you display stays on for longer than the default 3 minutes when on battery or plugged in.
